URA Dialogues #4 – Thematic Seminar
Info
This fourth PhD seminar (to be held in French) of the URA Dialogues 2023-24 cycle deals with thematic and epistemic issues. It reflects on the role of the “Material Passport” and on how it could represent a concrete lever for action to promote the re-use of construction materials.

PROGRAMME & BOOKLET OF ABSTRACTS (FR)
Guest lecturers:
- Michaël Ghyoot (ROTOR)
- Linde Maes (Buildwise)
- Catherine De Wolf (ETHZ [online] )
Organizers: Amélie Halbach (PhD candidate, ULiège, URA-LNA) in collaboration with Sophie Trachte (associate professor, ULiège, URA-Team11).
The aim of this seminar was to establish the first steps in a wider reflection on the structure that a Materials Passport should take in order to clearly and logically integrate data relating to the life cycle of architectural materials and components, with the support of experts and stakeholders in the field. The seminar also provided an opportunity to share advances in research into the use of reusable materials and the Materials Passport, offering participants the chance to create a network and discuss relevant works, organisations and laboratories in this field.
The seminar is divided into several activities. The morning is devoted to talks by three experts and presentations of doctoral research related to the theme. The afternoon is devoted to three collective intelligence workshops, bringing together the speakers, doctoral students, practitioners and representatives from the industry.
